Strassenfest once again
Citizens of Borova have been for five years demonstrating in public their skills of enjoying themselves and that they are able to prepare not only a nice programme for others but also rich refreshments. This year’s Strassenfest was staged by Hlavni Street (2nd part), a part of Okruzni and Kratka Streets. The parade of masks through nice decorated streets is already a tradition. At the beginning the last year organizers handed over a symbolic key to the staging. |

Treasure found on the site of Bolatice skansen
Treasure found on the site of Bolatice skansen A transcript from annals: 27th November 1934 a treasure of coins was found in Josef Sněhota`s (a farmer) garden. These coins come from 1621 – 1623. Dr. Nohejlova writes about this founding in a special numismatics` magazine, a quotation from this. |

Open-air museum in Bolatice enters its second year of existence
The skansen in Bolatice has found its friends and people who are interested in it. Over a thousand visitors came to the skansen during last year, most of them school children from Bolatice and surroundings, but also senior citizens who came to reminisce their life fifty years ago. The skansen was visited also by people, who were captured by the information about our museum and its exposition. |

Bolatice community will cooperate with three communities abroad
Representatives of the three communities from abroad paid visit to our community on the weekend 17th to 19th October: Linum from Germany, Rudy from Poland, Doľany from Slovakia. The meeting was held in the time of the exhibition of entrepreneurs. |

Exhibition
Two years passed very quickly and it was the right time to organize the Exhibition of entrepreneurs and craftsmen. This time not only from Bolatice and the surroundings, but also from our twin towns Linum (Germany), Rudy (Poland) and Doľany (Slovakia). |

August Scholtis was born on 7th August 1901 in Bolatice. The first name August was given to him because of the month of his birth. August’s father, Fritz Scholtis, was a cottage’s son, he owned a bakery. |

Museum of historical postcards
Let us interduce to you a new project which realization took 15 months and which includes hundreds of old postcards from our vicinity. Bolatice Museum of Folklore Traditions was build on Svobody st.(nearby the church) in the buildings on Mr.Jiří Burian property. The expanses for realization were reimbursed from EU grant - program Sapard. In 2002 Village Bolatice was granted 1.6 million Czech crowns |

The foundation of settlement Henneberky
The barons Eugen and Alois Henne from Henneberk asked to take 81 1/3 korců (1 korec = 0.2877 hectare) out of Bolatice cadastre on 3 rd June 1786. The reason was to found a settlement with the same name. |

History of the village
Hlučínsko and the territory of the village were inhabited during the period of 4500 – 2500 B.C. The findings of linear and Moravian painted pottery are the proofs. |
