the ancient Silesian village (4 168 inhabitants) lies in the southern part of the Hlučín Highlands, nearly 6 kilometres northeast from Kravaře, not far from the Polish border. 4.8.2005 End of World War II – 60th anniversary On Monday, 18th April 2005, the citizens of Bolatice commemorated 60th anniversary of the end of World War II.
27.7.2005 Bolatice – Rudy cooperation lasts five years Five years ago, exactly on 13th April 2000, the agreement for mutual cooperation between Bolatice and Rudy (PL) was signed in Rudy, at the Pod kastany restaurant.
12.12.2004 Bolatice companies reap deserved successes The most successful company in Bolatice – LANEX, exports 80 per cent of its output to many countries in every continent. Its production is permanently of a high grade. So they are spreading fame of their company and of Bolatice. For example, in Austria, on our study visit, in a town called Imst, Bolatice was known thanks to LANEX.
12.12.2004 Comenius Project 2004 This year was very demanding for our school. We ran two noted events. In May we put on a teachers’ meeting, our partner schools from Torrox – Costa (Spain), Rendsburg (Germany) and Rudy (Poland) participated in it. This meeting had also a symbolic meaning – it took place in terms of Czech a Polish acceding to the E. U.
11.12.2004 Strassenfest once again Citizens of Borova have been for five years demonstrating in public their skills of enjoying themselves and that they are able to prepare not only a nice programme for others but also rich refreshments. This year’s Strassenfest was staged by Hlavni Street (2nd part), a part of Okruzni and Kratka Streets. The parade of masks through nice decorated streets is already a tradition. At the beginning the last year organizers handed over a symbolic key to the staging.
